Calibration FAQs
What is the Work Order form?
As part of the installation for Busroot we have a work order (attached) form that needs to be completed during the installation. This form provides us with the information we need to connect the signals to the right settings in your Busroot account. The top row in the sheet is an example of the information we need and I've highlighted the next two rows for the two machines you will install.
We have installed a new sensor on a station. Can you please let me know if it’s working?
For this you will need to update the work order form and share this with the Busroot team to make the updates and let you know if it is working as you want.
What does purple mean in the heatmap?
Purple means the machine is not connected to the internet. This can happen in short blips, as we all experience with WiFi occasionally. The machine could be switched off so the Busroot hardware is not receiving power to send any signals.
What does hold on time mean?
Hold on time was introduced for customers with manual welders. To provide an accurate and fair view of the time the manual welders are productive. We use a signal that is connected to the trigger of the welder. The hold on time is the time we assume the manual welder is welding once the trigger has been pressed. Each time the trigger is pressed the 5 minutes is reset to zero. The hold on time can be set to whatever is required and can be found in the Station management, under the Admin menu.
When is Slow Production triggered and how can I stop it?
Slow is specific to line speed. So, if you are tracking your production using the line speed productive signal, the slow is a feature. Slow Production is flagged when the speed drops below 80% of your target line speed. This is currently a locked feature, but is something that we will make optional in the future.
What does cycle time override mean?
The override allows you to enter an alternative cycle time to what is already associated with the SKU (in your SKU management). This override is only valid for the particular schedule you are setting up.
Why is one of the stations showing “Out Of Shift”, is this related to the shift patterns?
You can view shifts by (morning, evening, night). If you go to Shifts in the Admin menu. You will see a shift pattern named 'ALL SHIFTS'. You can click edit to see how it is set up and adjust as you require.
Busroot is not recording the amount produced correctly I have checked all settings in the system, it looks like it is recording things but just slow and not accurate. Why?
This could be a WiFi or WiFi strength issue. If the signal strength has been weaker, it means Busroot will not receive regular data updates (every 5 seconds). This is not related to any access settings because that would've blocked the signal completely.
On the SKU setting it was showing 6 in the cycle time. What does this mean?
If more than one signal is received in this 6 minute set period, Busroot will only count one unit. This allows filtering of signals during the setup process for example.
Downtime notifications keep showing when the machine is running?
Check your thresholds set in station management, in the Admin section of the Busroot menu.
Can I set the Utilisation downtime threshold to 4.5 minutes, as an example?
You cannot, Busroot works in whole minute increments. So you would need to choose either 4 or 5 minutes.
