Week 42 | 2026¶
This release lets operators record manual downtime during a non-production schedule. It also corrects date ranges near a clock change and changes how reason lists work.
⚠️ Changes That Can Affect You¶
- Invalid range codes are rejected — the API returns status 400 with the error
invalidInput. The SDK rejects the code before it sends the request. Rejected forms: lower-case types (today), a wrong number of parts, a day, month, hour or minute without a leading zero (DAY_2026_2_5), a year outside 2020 to 2100, an impossible date or time, week 0 or a week after the last week of the year, a quarter outside 1 to 4, and an undocumented relative code. See Range Codes. - Reason lists cover the reasons below — a reason in an include or exclude list now covers every reason below it, also reasons added later. A list edited by hand, through the API or through the SDK can now give a station more reasons or fewer reasons. See Reasons.
- Past figures can move — totals near a clock change can move by up to one hour of data. Month totals can move by one day of data. For a UK plant, this affects months between late March and late October. For a plant east of UTC whose production day starts at midnight, for example in Central Europe, it can affect any month, by up to three days in February. Stored totals are calculated again, so the first view of each page is slower.
- Manual downtime is counted differently — it counts only inside a shift, and it replaces planned non-production time. Figures from before the release keep the old rule. See Manual downtime.
New¶
- Manual Downtime During Non-Production — an operator can start a manual downtime while a non-production schedule runs. The time is downtime and costs the station's idle cost per minute. The Downtime List shows the schedule's reason in the Work Order Ref. column. No CSV column changes. See the Operator Interface.
- Manifest From a Repository — a manifest can be applied by a pipeline. Busroot refuses a change that overwrites a newer change. See Managing the Manifest from a Repository.
Improved¶
- Task Tiles — two colours only: red (do now) and green. Every tile shows Last Completed At.
- Start List Button — reads Start List, Restart List or List Started for the state of the list.
- Faster Machine Counts — signals are processed up to every 10 seconds, not 30.
- API Reference — operations that do not exist are removed.
Fixed¶
- Clock Changes — ranges start and end at the correct local time. The production day of a clock change is 23 or 25 hours.
- Month Length — a month no longer takes the length of the month before it.
- Range Codes — weeks in 2021 and 2027 end at the correct week.
- Manual Downtime — accepted immediately after a schedule starts.
- Scheduling Loss — manual downtime after a schedule ends is not counted two times.
- Slow Energy Meters — all energy from a meter that reports less often than every 5 minutes is counted.
- Notifications — emails show the current station group name. Archived plants send no notifications.
