Configuration¶
What you need before you start¶
- Laptop or Android tablet
- USB-C cable
- Chrome Browser
Flashing Device¶
Normally devices will be shipped pre-flashed with the latest firmware. If required, or instructed by the output.industries, use the following instructions to flash the Opta with the latest firmware.
- Connect Opta device to computer using USB-C to USB-C cable.
- Visit 'https://outputindustries.gitlab.io/busroot-webdfu/' on Chrome browser.
- Double-press the 'Reset' button on Opta using a pin or pen. The green LED should pulse slowly.
- Enter the WiFi SSID and WiFi Password into the respective fields.
- Copy the device ID and access token into the respective fields
- Now click the 'Connect' button to connect the browser to the Opta (The device name ends with 'Bootloader').
- Click "pair" pair on the pop-up window to connect the Opta device to the browser.
- Press 'Download' and wait for it to finish.
Configuring Device¶
- Visit https://www.serialterminal.com/index.html on Chrome (other browsers won't work)
- Single-press the 'Reset' button on the Opta.
- Press the 'Connect' button on the browser and select the 'Arduino' device listed.
- Paste your config token into the input bar and press the 'Send' button.
- You should see confirmation of the config used and the device attempting to connect to the network.
