# Notification Preference

#### **Context:**

Defines who receives alerts from system events (e.g., stoppages, summaries).

#### **Importance:**

Ensures the right users are notified and enables timely responses to machine downtime or process deviations across teams.

#### **Notification Ownership:**

Only the logged-in user can set their notification preferences. You cannot set preferences for others; changes you make apply only to your account.

#### **Notification Triggers:**

An email alert is sent immediately if an issue (such as station inactivity) is detected. The detection is based on the downtime threshold set at the station level in Admin > Station > Edit. For stations in Utilisation mode, you must set the "Utilisation Downtime Threshold (mins)" to specify after how many minutes of inactivity you wish to receive an alert. No changes to station Admin are required for escalated issues when an operator triggers an alert via the tablet.

#### **Daily Summary Email:**

At 7:00am, selected users receive a summary email covering the previous day's downtime for their chosen stations. This keeps your management team proactively informed and enables efficient follow-up on downtime causes or process changes.

#### **Setup Steps:**

Stations must be configured to Production Cycle Monitoring, Utilisation Monitoring, or Independent Process Speed in order to enable these notifications.

Each user must set their own email preferences under the Notification Preference menu, and can subscribe at the Station Group level to receive relevant data.

#### **Benefits:**

These notifications help managers respond quickly to new issues, support daily review and escalation, and deliver key shop-floor data even to those not logging into Busroot daily.
