Production Overview
Overview:
Production Tracking in Busroot enables precise, real-time measurement and reporting of production output at the station and SKU level. It compares actual output with planned production in real time and supports a range of sensing methods (machine signals, inferred rates, manual input) for maximum flexibility. The module also handles batch sizes, cycle times, and quality (good vs. bad output). Analytic features enable detailed reporting and immediate alerts when production deviates from plan.
Use Cases and Typical Job Roles:
Live Output Tracking: Operators, Production Supervisors - monitor unit-by-unit production in real time, respond to issues immediately.
Adherence to Production Plans: Production Managers, Shift Leaders - compare actual production against scheduled targets and intervene when deviations occur.
Cycle Time & Quality Analysis: Quality Engineers, CI/Lean Specialists - review efficiency and root causes of slowdowns or quality issues.
Production Meetings & Reporting: Operations Managers, Team Leaders - prepare data-driven reviews using Busroot reports.
Batch and SKU Audit: Supply Chain Analysts, Inventory Controllers - verify batch production, track SKUs, and support traceability.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Continuous Improvement Leads, Data Analysts - leverage trend and performance data for improvement programmes.
Key Functionality:
Automated Output Capture: Records production via direct machine signals, inferred rates, or manual entry.
Plan vs. Actual Tracking: Monitors real-time adherence to the production plan at unit, shift, and order levels.
Production Quality Analysis: Tracks and excludes bad production from output and OEE quality calculations.
Cycle per part: Supports batch counting and multiplier logic per SKU.
Real-Time Alerts & Reporting: Instant notifications and actionable data for supervisors and managers.
Trend and Cycle Time Analytics: Breaks down cycle times and highlights variances to support investigative actions.
Short Interval Control: Segments shifts for rapid review and improvement cycles.
SETUP
Each station to be monitored must have a production schedule. This can be created in Scheduling area of Busroot.
All SKUs to be produced must have a Performance Target set. This is the ideal rate that the SKU should be produced, based on Cycle Time, Units per Minute, Units per Hour or an Independent Process Speed.
TV screens installed on shop floor and a tablet for each station to be monitored. See Production Progress
