OEE & TEEP

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and TEEP (Total Effective Equipment Performance) are metrics used in manufacturing to understand actual performance vs total capacity.

The simple difference between the two is that OEE only considers planned production time, whereas TEEP broadens the measurement to consider all time (scheduled, unscheduled, maintenance and out-of-shift).

OEE = Performance against expected capacity. TEEP = Performance against maximum theoretical capacity.

Calculating OEE and TEEP

Busroot captures and manages all of the data required to calculate OEE and TEEP in real-time:

Contextual Information:

  • Shift Patterns

  • Non-Production / Maintenance Schedules

  • Production Schedules

  • SKU / Part Ideal Cycle Times

Real-time Data:

  • Productivity / Utilisation Status

  • Actual Production Count

  • Reject Production Count

OEE Availability = Running Time / Scheduled Production Time

OEE Performance = Ideal Production Time (count x ideal cycle time) / Available Time

OEE Quality = Good Units / Total Units

Busroot calculates and provides OEE & TEEP metrics in the Station Window API response: Station Window
