3 Phase < 4000A

Wiring Connections

This setup consists of 3 components:

  • The 'Carlo Gavazzi EM210' energy meter with Rogowski Coils

  • The 'Finder Arduino Opta' data collection unit

  • The 'Blues Wireless for Opta' wireless communication unit (optional)

Power Supply

Both the Opta and the Blues devices must be powered with 24v DC.

The energy meter is powered from the mains supply being monitored. Please refer to the manual to understand the wiring for different number of phases.

Communication

The Opta and the Blues devices communication via a built in connection. Care should be taken to ensure the two units are firmly pushed together.

The energy meter and Opta communicate over an RS485 interface. This should be wired during installation according to the table below.

Rogowski Coils

Each coil should be wired into the energy meter according to the diagram on the device.

The coils can then be opening and place around each of the phases to be monitored.
