SKU Setup:

How to add and organise SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) and stations for accurate tracking.

  • Individual SKUs and SKU Groups can be added into Busroot to track production data and create schedules. The SKU Management section is only available to Admin level users.

Access SKU Management by selecting Admin > Management > SKU in the main menu

Individual SKUs

To add an individual SKU select Individual SKUs tab (1) > Add New (2)

The following fields can be entered when adding a SKU, some are mandatory, others depending on the type of manufacturing.

  • Code - Mandatory, can’t be edited once the SKU is saved

  • Name - Mandatory, can be edited if required

  • Cycle Time (secs) - The average Cycle Time required to complete the SKU. Busroot will use this to calculate estimates

  • Line Speed Target - For stations using Productive Status Mode - Line Speed

  • Instructions URL - This will appear on the Operator Tablet, to add instructions or any additional information about the SKU.

  • Downtime duration threshold multiplier - For SKUs produced in batches, this can be set to control when a period of downtime starts. Calculated as a multiple of Cycle Time.

Click 'Save SKU' to add or 'Cancel' to return to list.

SKUs can be edited or deleted from the list.

SKU Groups

To create a SKU Group select SKU Groups tab (1.) > Add New (2.)

The first section of the SKU Group form has the following three fields.

  • Code - Mandatory, can’t be edited once SKU Group is saved.

  • Name - Mandatory, can be edited if required.

  • Cycle Time (secs) - The average Cycle Time required to produce the SKU Group.

The second section contains

  • Add SKU Code (dropdown menu) - Select which Individual SKUs to add to the group and click ‘Add’

  • Production Multiplier - Once added to the list, set multiplier value for each SKU.

Click 'Remove' to delete from list. Click 'Save' to create group or 'Cancel' to return to list.

SKU Groups can be edited or deleted from the list view.
